Simthetiq

Context

Simthetiq is a Montreal company recognized worldwide for 3D simulation modelling. Since 2005, it has designed synthetic terrains, immersive environments and high-fidelity visual systems for the defence and civil aviation sectors. For its presence at CANSEC, Canada's largest defence and security trade show, the company wanted to present its product with a visual rendering that matched its expertise, in an environment where technological excellence is the norm.

The Pixanova LED setup

We deployed 3 LED totem screens assembled side by side (1 m x 2 m each, fine 1.86 mm pitch, over 1,000 nits), forming a continuous 3 m x 2 m wall. The screens showed Simthetiq's simulation environments, 3D renderings and visual demonstrations, with sharp, vivid image quality that fully showcased their technology.

Impact

For a visual simulation player, the LED wall is the ideal medium: it reproduces the richness and precision of their 3D environments with an impact impossible to achieve on printed material. In the aisles of a show as demanding as CANSEC, the large continuous format drew attention and allowed Simthetiq to concretely demonstrate the power of its technology.

Simthetiq perfectly illustrates the synergy between LED display and the visual and simulation professions: showing, in motion and in high definition, what no still image could convey.
