Context: the Montreal Home Show, the showcase of better living at home
The Montreal Home Show is, year after year, the reference event for homeowners and residential design enthusiasts in Greater Montreal. Hosted at Place Bonaventure, it brings together tens of thousands of visitors who come to get inspired, discover the latest trends in interior and exterior design, and meet professionals capable of bringing their projects to life. In this high-attendance context, the spa and hot tub sector is one of the most coveted categories: visitors dream, compare, and with the right staging, take the plunge. It is exactly in this dynamic that SP International chose to raise the stakes with a high-definition LED display by Pixanova.
SP International: the swim spa specialist in Quebec since 1997
Founded in 1997 and with over 25 years of experience, SP International is the Quebec reference for swim spas, traditional spas, and high-end accessories. With its centers in Saint-Alphonse-de-Granby and Laval — and a new branch launched in 2021 under the SP International & Fils banner —, the company serves all of Quebec and Ontario. Its mission: to offer families superior quality products, impeccable customer service, and a unique buying experience. With more than 10 models on display in its showrooms, SP International relies on the sensory experience to convince. At the Home Show, the challenge was to recreate this magic in an exhibition context, facing thousands of visitors passing a few meters from the booth.
Two large-format LED screens to sell the dream on a large scale
For their participation in the Home Show, SP International bet on emotional impact with a setup of two 6-foot-5 LED totem screens, strategically deployed by Pixanova around the spa models on display. Together, they created an immersive visual envelope that plunged the visitor into the world of relaxation even before they said a word to an advisor. The screens continuously displayed carefully selected aspirational sequences: families enjoying their spa under the stars, couples relaxing in a steaming hot tub in the middle of the Quebec winter, children having fun in a swim spa, all combined with technical information on flagship models, available financing options, and promotions exclusive to the show.
Integration and design: immerse the visitor in the experience before even trying
The staging of the screens was designed to create a fluid narrative continuity between the physical products on display and the life worlds projected on the screen. The LED totems framed the spas on demonstration in a way that reinforced the aspirational effect: the visitor no longer saw only a spa in an exhibition hall, they were already projecting themselves into their own relaxation space, at home, this winter. The dynamic content was updated during the event to reflect the show's offers in real time, maintaining the interest of visitors who passed the booth several times throughout the day.
Impact: a booth that turned dreams into decisions
The presence of the LED screens considerably amplified the attractiveness of the SP International booth. Visitors who did not plan to stop were captivated by the quality and warmth of the projected images, creating organic and sustained traffic throughout the event. The outcome of the participation:
- Booth traffic clearly higher than previous editions, largely generated by the visual appeal of the screens in the aisle,
- An increased average visit time thanks to the immersive visual experience that held attention and fueled conversations,
- Numerous requests for information and quotes generated directly on site, with a remarkable conversion rate for a public event,
- A brand image perceived as more modern, more premium, and more inspiring by all the visitors who interacted with the booth.
Conclusion: LED as a lever of desire and conversion
By integrating high-definition LED screens into their exhibition space, SP International did much more than decorate their booth: they created a sensory and emotional experience that propelled their brand into a class of its own at the Montreal Home Show. The Pixanova setup staged the dream that SP International swim spas sell — and the results confirmed it. Because a spa is bought with the eyes before it is experienced in the water.
